The Villa

Villa Camilla, available for luxury holiday rental on Lake Como, is a splendid 19th century Villa situated on the western shores of Upper Lake Como. It has remained exclusively in the hands of the same noble family and is a symbol of Italian style and excellence, the ideal place for lovers of the romantic, of absolute peace, quiet and tranquility.

The Villa’s interiors are of singular beauty: mosaic floors, turned wood staircases, statues and 18th century frescoes as well as fine paintings from the late 1800’s.

Ground floor:
The large foyer on the ground floor with its beautiful 18th century polychrome marble fireplace, leads through a conservatory-style area with superb lake views to the dining room and salon. On the same level there are a bedroom with a bathroom for the disabled, a professional kitchen, a corner laundry, house bathroom and games room.

First floor:
Two double bedrooms with lake views, each with its own bathroom and Jacuzzi tub, and a double room with its own private bathroom .

Second Floor:
A large veranda with lake view is a feature on this floor, complete with American pool table and a gym corner. There are also two double bedrooms, one with lake view, with its own bathroom and Jacuzzi tub, and a double room with its own private bathroom. 

Third floor:
Finally on the top floor there are further three double bedrooms, two with lake views and each with its own private bathroom. 

All rooms have a small wall safe and air conditioning.

Pets are welcome upon request.

The Park

The park surrounding Villa Camilla, rented for luxury vacations on Lake Como, was originally designed as an English garden in the mid 19th century and features age old trees of great beauty. Many of the gardens on the banks of Lake Como were originally formal Italianate gardens later transformed into English gardens, but only two were actually conceived as English gardens: the gorgeous parks of Villa Camilla and Villa Melzi at Bellagio.

Acers, cork oaks, redwood pines, Chilean monkey-puzzle trees, cedars and Japanese bamboo are just a few of the beautiful and rare botanical examples that can be admired there. 

In this lovely green area there is also a small vegetable garden with a variety of fruit trees. Should they so wish, guests at the Villa may personally select the organic fruit and vegetables to be enjoyed in the many excellent dishes prepared by the chef at their service.

No more than 20 meters from the entrance to the Villa is a pretty annex with a double bedroom and bathroom. 

At the back of the villa there is a truly ancient stone cellar with vaulted ceilings and a vast selection of local, Italian and international wines. 

Restoration and refurbishment have been carried out in compliance with the principles of sustainable architecture and the interiors created to reflect the finest of Feng-shui philosophy, thanks to expert advice from internationally respected professionals.

Sport and Relax

Villa Camilla, rented for luxury vacations on Lake Como, has a fine modern pool with a spacious area for sunbathing, comfortable sun loungers, tables, chairs, umbrellas and a shower with hot water. Guests to the Villa may spend pleasant moments of sheer relaxation therewhile sipping a cocktail, reading a book, listening to music or simply sunbathing in total relaxation and peace and quiet.  

For sports enthusiasts, the Villa has a tennis court with lighting for games in the evenings, and a games room with table tennis table, table football and a pool table.

For the younger guests and for their parents’ peace of mind, there is a safe, protected playground designed especially for their use and pleasure.  

Services

On their arrival, guests are met with a fine Welcome Dinner prepared for them by the chef who will be available to them throughout their stay at the Villa. Furthermore, rich breakfasts and excellent recipes from traditional Italian and international cuisine are planned. Fruit, vegetables and herbs used in the kitchen come from the villa’s own organic gardens or from local organic producers. 

Guest Relations available throughout the stay at the Villa. Highly personalized one-of-a-kind experiences for the guests organized by our in-house concierge.

Internet wi-fi connection is available in the whole Villa. Each room has satellite TV, air conditioning and safe. A CD player with a selection of musical CDs is available in the lounge. There is daily cleaning of the rooms (except Sunday) and a daily change of bathroom linens (except Sunday). Bed linen is changed twice weekly. 

Drinking water is available from a private spring within the grounds of the Villa.

Very close to the Villa is a large car park and private jetty with a buoy so that motorboats can be moored there. Lovers of sailing will also enjoy the opportunity to visit the most important private museum in the world for pleasure boats, founded by GianAlberto Zanoletti.

There are many extra services, which we will provide on request, such as:
