The Villa

Villa Meridiana, available for rental for luxury holidays and vacations on Lake Como, is an elegant residence on the west bank of Upper Lake Como, in the quiet little village of Pianello del Lario.

The solid architecture and elegantly classical furnishings make this Villa a particularly pleasant and welcoming place. Due to our concern for the environment, we have ensured the water for domestic use while the pool is heated be means of solar panels.

Restoration and refurbishment have been carried out in compliance with the principles of sustainable architecture and the interiors created to reflect the finest of the Feng-shui philosophy, thanks to expert advice from internationally respected professionals.

Surrounded by a beautifully kept, flat, single level garden, which ends just three meters from the waters of the lake, the villa is the ideal place for a romantic candlelight dinners or for a relaxing evening with the magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The gardens also offer private access to a little beach.

The ground floor of the villa comprises a large and welcoming hall, which leads to a spacious well-equipped professional kitchen, a very large dining room with superb views over the lake and a lovely bright lounge area. On this floor there are also two house bathrooms and a games room complete with table tennis table, a sofa and numerous toys for the amusement of children of all ages.

The first floor comprises six air-conditioned double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (five with shower and one with bathtub). Two double bedrooms have access to a furnished terrace with gorgeous views over the lake and perfect for quiet moments of relaxation. On the same floor there are two single not air-conditioned bedrooms (connecting with two doubles) ideal for children. Access to bathroom requires guests in the single room to walk through the double bedroom. The Villa is provided with a safe. 

There is direct access from the house to the elegant swimming pool, without having to go outside at all. It has a sliding roof and the pool can be illuminated at night and so is ideal for sunbathing and also for swimming in adverse weather or at night.

Sport and Relax

From Villa Meridiana, available for rental for luxury holidays and vacations on Lake Como, there is direct access to the large swimming pool with its sliding transparent covering and walls, easily handled. Guests at the Villa will be able to enjoy swimming both by day in the sun and by night under the stars high above Lake Como, in the pleasant temperatures afforded by the roof and the lights illuminating the pool at night. 

If, on the other hand, one prefers to swim in the lake, the little beach just a few steps from the park will be an ideal choice. The quiet gardens of Villa Meridiana with their sunbeds and loungers and umbrellas will lend themselves to relaxing days, perhaps with a good book for company, or a cocktail, and safe toys and games for the little ones.

The Imbarcadero, a little harbour, is within easy reach of the Villa where there are several restaurants on the beach. Villa Meridiana also offers private moorings for boats.  

Pets are welcome upon request.

The staff at Villa Meridiana is delighted to offer a broad range of services for your pleasure. 

On arrival at Villa Meridiana, guests will be met with a superb welcome dinner.

There is wi-fi internet connection and a Sat TV in the lounge area as well as a CD player, music CDs and a DVD player. The speakers placed in all rooms on the ground floor are for the enjoyment of guests who will enjoy relaxing to their favorite music.

Daily cleaning and change of towels (except Sunday) is part of the service with a weekly change of bed linen.

There is an open-air private car parking area at the back of the villa for up to 7 or 8 cars.

And just for guests at Villa Meridiana, there is a unique opportunity to visit the Lake Como International Museum of vintage boats – wwww.museobarcalariana.it - founded by GianAlberto Zanoletti and the most important in the world - which houses his beloved collection of pleasure craft of the world, each of which has a fascinating story of its own to tell. This is truly a must and just not to be missed.
